The Van Dijke Leaf Separator Hedgehog belt is developed to remove leaves and other organic material from the product flow before it enters the washing line.
The unit is designed to be mounted on the destoner. This means that no additional floor space is required in the washing line.

The Leaf Separator Hedgehog Belt is available in various widths. In addition, the angle and speed of the hedgehog belt can be easily adjusted.
Because the loose leaves have already been removed from the product, an even better and more efficient washing result is achieved.

For an even better end result
When required, a WLR (Wet Leaf Remover) can be installed directly after the washing machine. It effectively removes any remaining foliage released during the washing process, as well as other floating materials such as corn stubble, ensuring a clean and consistent product flow.
In addition, this WLR option is highly effective in separating defective potatoes—such as hollow hearts— for further improving overall output quality.
