The units can be equipped with an integrated WLR leaf remover. This option efficiently removes vines/leafs and other floating material from the produce and can also be used to eliminate hollow hearts. Please note that when this option is selected, water level adjustability is limited.

For optimal performance of the WLR, washing must be carried out at a high water level. If full control over washing intensity and water level is required, installing a separate leaf remover downstream of the drum washer is an excellent solution. The drum washer features a perforated, round drum equipped with spiral-mounted flights/agitation bars, creating an effective washing action while gently transporting the produce through the machine. An adjustable discharge slide at the drum’s end allows precise control of the load-level, optimizing washing efficiency. The shaftles augers underneath the drum ensures fast and effective removal of sand and clay, all while keeping water consumption to a minimum.
