The Van Dijke Wet Leaf Remover (WLR) is the ideal solution for the effective removal of haulms, organic matter, and other floating materials—such as corn stubble—from the product stream. This versatile machine is designed for installation either after the washing line or downstream of the destoner as a post-wash solution.
Effective haulm separation
The Wet Leaf Remover (WLR) features a robust main unit equipped with an industrially manufactured PVC discharge conveyor. This specially designed conveyor is lighter, stronger, and offers a significantly longer service life than traditional belt conveyors. Moreover, it complies with food safety standards and is finished in blue to facilitate visual inspection.
At the rear of the unit, a pump tray is integrated into the main frame. This tray includes an overflow and allows water to be pumped into the main unit using a submersible pump. The product sinks through the water flow and is deposited onto the product discharge conveyor. Lighter materials, such as foliage and other organic matter, are pushed backward by the water stream and separated from the water by a filter conveyor. The filtered material is then discharged to the side of the machine.
